Camps & Excursions
At Warracknabeal Primary School, our camps and excursions offer students enriching, hands-on learning experiences beyond the classroom. These activities foster independence, teamwork, and a love for adventure, allowing students to explore new environments, build social skills, and create lasting memories.
Prep/1 Halls Gap Zoo
Each year, our Prep and Year 1 students visit Halls Gap Zoo, where they experience an exciting day of wildlife exploration.
This excursion fosters curiosity and a love for nature, allowing our youngest learners to engage with a variety of animals up close and develop an appreciation for biodiversity and conservation.
Year 2 Sleepover
Our Year 2 students enjoy an annual sleepover at school as an introduction to our camps program.
This exciting event helps build independence, confidence, and a sense of adventure, providing a fun and supportive environment for students to bond with classmates and experience the thrill of a night away from home.
Year 3/4 Camps
Our Year 3/4 camps alternate between Sovereign Hill and Roses Gap, offering diverse and enriching experiences.
At Sovereign Hill, students step back in time to explore Australia's gold rush history, while at Roses Gap, they enjoy outdoor adventures and team-building activities.
These camps foster independence, resilience, and a love for learning beyond the classroom.
Year 5/6 Camps
Our Year 5/6 camps alternate between the Anglesea Coastal Camp and Urban Camps, providing students with varied and exciting experiences.
At Anglesea, students engage in coastal and outdoor activities, while Urban Camps offer insights into city life and cultural excursions.
These camps promote teamwork, independence, and a deeper connection to both natural and urban environments.
